How to stop human trafficking | human trafficking is a crime in itselfbut it is also the propelier of several other crime.

 Human trafficking : 

                           involve the crimes which include recruit, transport, transfer of person by way of caerce for the exploitation of person. 

   according to the article 23(1) the trafficking in person is prohibited and it is a punishable offence. 

  and the immoral trafficking prevention act 1956 is the premier to human to deal with offence pertaining to human trafficking as we know this act do not cover the human trafficking matters comprehensively, so the government has decided to bring a new bill called, the traffic in person (prevention and care ) bill 2021 to deal with the offences pertaining to human trafficking. 

But before moving further, lets know the root cause of trafficking.

  • The extream poverty is also responsible for the trafficking, as the parents do not have income or earning to took after their son/daughter, so they better future. 
  • Social and culture practice of devolbing of daughter and women makes them vulnerable to trafficking. 
  • migration is also responsible for trafficking, as the people do not have any work or job in their proximity, so they intends to migrate, and got trapped by the brokers and compel them to work under miserable conditions. 
  • there are some related laws in India which deals with the human trafficking but India needs a law exclusively to deal with human trafficking. 

Related laws are :

  • the juvenile justice Act
  • Bonded labour abolition Act  
  • Prevention of child labour Act
  • section 370 and 370A of IPC

Way forwards to curb the practice of human traffickning,

  • The formation of a law which is need to be deal exclusively with trafficking in women and child. 
  • widespread awareness of human trafficking which helps the citizen to be alert. 
  • the proper enforcement of existing laws should be a priority.
  • The capacity building of police official with that of NGO's to tackle the menace of trafficking. 
  • The implementation of justice verma committee recommendation, which has recommended the census of missing children.

What next : 



    the cases of trafficking should be tackle in an appropriate manner and should be tackle before the emergence of any casualties and the government is working in this direction to mitigate the trafficking in women and children.
